The learner of the twenty-first century is quite distinct. Schools and learning institutions must today cater to self-directed, innovative, internationally aware, informed, problem solvers, civically engaged, critical thinkers, and financially and economically literate learners as well as their parents. As a result, school owners/managers and school board programs must be adequately equipped and empowered to satisfy this learner’s demands.
CBE International aims to develop the ability of school owners by training them on how to deliver CBC to learners by understanding the Ministry of Education’s legal framework on education and structure, the competency-based curriculum Framework (CBC), leadership and conflict resolution in schools, and how to develop resource mobilization strategies for private schools.
To achieve the intended impact of nurturing every learner’s potential, CBC requires a collaborative effort from all stakeholders, including learners, teachers, support staff, the Board of Management, family members, the wider school community, and relevant stakeholders. CBE International takes an active role in the effective implementation of the CBC program in schools by educating school owners, who will then apply this knowledge and disseminate it to teachers and learners for a ripple effect toward CBC implementation.
